Mendocino Community Health Clinic (MCHC) is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to support our dedicated care team. As an LVN at MCHC, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality healthcare to our community by providing nursing support, coordinating care, and promoting a positive patient experience.
What You’ll Do:
- Support providers and care teams in a fast-paced, team-based environment
- Prepare and participate in daily team huddles and trainings
- Administer medications and vaccines in accordance with provider orders and within the Licensed Vocational Nurse scope of practice.
- Accurately document patient information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Educate patients as directed by the provider
- Refill routine medication according to established protocol and under the direction of a licensed healthcare provider.
- Perform therapeutic blood withdrawal and IV therapy if certified
- Maintain infection control practices and OSHA standards
- Travel to other MCHC sites as needed
- Participate in quality improvement efforts to enhance patient outcomes

Requirements
- Active California LVN license
- Completion of an approved IV therapy course
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a clinical setting
Preferred:
- Previous outpatient clinical experience
