We are seeking nine (9) Licensing Services Representatives to join our Application and Issuance team!

Duties
As a Licensing Services Representative, you will have the opportunity to support Washington residents by completing accurate and timely record updates. Relying on your attention to detail, you will research records to provide technical assistance to our customers related to their specific driver or vehicle record, answering questions both verbally and in writing. You will process applications for special plates, parking privileges, and restricted licenses, ensuring the applications support the appropriate action. This position will allow you to work in a dynamic, team-centered environment where you can hone your problem-solving skills.
Some of what you will do:
- Explain state and federal regulations, policy and procedures, rules, and departmental action codes to resolve customer problems.
- Review, analyze, and interpret driver and vehicle data included in supporting documentation to accurately establish, update, and/or correct driver and vehicle records
- Create driver and vehicle records when appropriate
- Review current and past state laws, federal regulations, departmental action codes, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
- Three (3) years of work experience providing service to customers on the phone or in person, where explaining rules, policies, and/or procedures are regular daily functions. Experience must include the frequent application of techniques to ensure professionalism and mutual understanding.
- One (1) year of experience composing clear, professionally appropriate, technically correct, and step-by-step instruction responses to customers.

Experience using Microsoft Office Programs such as Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Word to create format, edit, preview, print, and save documents.
- Excel to create and edit basic spreadsheets.
- Outlook for email and calendar functions.
- Experience applying complex rules, laws, and policies or procedures to business practices.
- Experience using various functionalities within DRIVES.
