The Lift Operations Supervisor ensures that lift operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in alignment with established company procedures and applicable regulations. This role leads daily lift operations and supports the Lift Operations Management team by training, supervising, and developing lift staff.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Supervise daily operations of lead lift operators and lift operators
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
Verify compliance with operational and safety standards through daily inspections
Interview, hire, train, and onboard new lift operators
Provide ongoing coaching and performance evaluations; address performance issues as needed
Coordinate and execute seasonal lift opening and closing procedures
Respond to and investigate lift-related guest incidents or accidents
Handle guest feedback and resolve complaints professionally
Attend regular leadership meetings and support overall departmental goals
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma or GED required
Advanced skiing or snowboarding skills required
Ability to read and interpret safety protocols, procedures, and mechanical documents in english
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work weekends, holidays, and nights as required
Comfortable working outdoors in extreme weather conditions for extended periods
Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and perform physically demanding tasks including shoveling, ice chipping, and equipment handling
Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds
Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, cold weather, wet and humid conditions, and loud noise levels
