Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the flow of goods and services, ensuring efficient transportation and distribution processes. This position requires strong organizational skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments and optimize routes.
- Collaborate with various departments to forecast demand and manage inventory levels effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and inventory.
- Operate forklifts safely for loading and unloading goods as required.
- Operate a forklift to load and unload materials and deliveries
- Move products to and from storage areas, machines, and loading docks
- Stack and store merchandise in the appropriate areas
- Maintain traceability of parts and perform data entry into the ERP/WMS system
- Assist with inventory control by keeping accurate records of goods received and shipped
- Technological capabilities
- Strong written and verbal communication.
Experience
- Proven experience in supply chain management or logistics roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations, including picking, packing, and shipping/receiving processes.
- Strong data analysis skills to assess logistics performance metrics effectively.
- Knowledge of materials management principles and practices.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.
- Lift 50lbs (standing, bending, stooping)
- Forklift experience
- Computer software (Excel, Microsoft 365, Word, Access) Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for inventory management tasks
