Position Overview
As Assistant Lounge Manager, you’ll partner with the Lounge Manager to oversee daily lounge operations, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and lead a team in delivering Amazónico’s signature service standards. Your role blends guest engagement, team supervision, and operational execution in a dynamic, hospitality-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Service
- Greet and engage lounge guests, anticipate needs, and ensure every visit feels personalized and memorable
- Resolve guest concerns promptly and courteously, upholding our pure-hospitality ethos
- Collaborate on beverage and menu recommendations, training staff to deliver insightful, guest-focused service
Team Leadership & Training
- Supervise, coach, and mentor bartenders, servers, and host staff—modeling Authentic Leadership and Transparency
- Conduct regular pre-shift huddles, share performance feedback, and foster a culture of continuous learning
- Assist with onboarding new lounge team members and ensure adherence to service standards
Operational Management
- Oversee lounge opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory management
- Monitor stock levels—beverages, garnishes, and bar supplies—and coordinate timely reorders with Purchasing
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations (ServSafe, OSHA, ABC)
Revenue & Quality Control
- Support the Lounge Manager in meeting or exceeding revenue targets and controlling labor and beverage costs
- Review daily sales reports and suggest adjustments to staffing or promotions as needed
- Maintain impeccable standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the lounge
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 2+ years in supervisory or senior front-of-house roles—ideally in upscale bars, lounges, or hotel venues
- Leadership: Proven ability to coach and motivate teams, drive accountability, and lead by example
- Service Orientation: Strong guest-service mindset with excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in bar operations, POS systems, inventory control, and basic mixology
