Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Low Voltage Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage systems, including security systems, fire alarms, and surveillance equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to work with various tools and technologies. The Low Voltage Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' facilities.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain low voltage systems such as security systems, fire alarms, and surveillance equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting of existing systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively while adhering to safety protocols.
- Document all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities accurately.
- Work closely with other technicians and service personnel to complete projects efficiently.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in low voltage technology.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician or similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with security system installation and maintenance, including intrusion detection systems (IDS).
- Knowledge of computer hardware and its integration with low voltage systems is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams related to electrical systems.
- Relevant certifications in low voltage or electrical work are highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
