Schedule: Full-Time and Part-Time Shifts Available
Unit Summary
Hall 1 is a 40–45 bed long-term care unit specializing in sub-acute rehabilitation with high-complexity needs. Our team is dedicated to providing residents with not only comprehensive medical care, but also daily activities and personal support that enrich their quality of life. Staff members in Hall 1 are compassionate, motivated, and committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse/Director of Nursing, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care utilizing a strong understanding of nursing principles and basic physical assessment skills. The LPN is responsible for developing and implementing individualized care plans, ensuring the needs of residents are met with professionalism and empathy. This role also involves supporting daily unit operations, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and assuming leadership responsibilities as needed per shift.
Responsibilities
Provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to residents.
Implement individualized nursing care plans based on resident assessments.
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards.
Monitor residents’ conditions, report changes, and collaborate with the care team.
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Assist with orientation and support of new staff, and act as a role model for professional nursing practice.
Ensure smooth unit operations and provide leadership in the absence of supervisory staff.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (diploma or associate degree).
Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Maryland (or compact state eligibility).
AHA CPR Certification required.
Less than one year of clinical experience required; long-term care or rehab experience preferred.
Basic computer proficiency.
