Old Glory Days Assisted Living is hiring an LPN for evening (6-7 PM) and weekend (8-9 AM and 6-7PM) medication visits. The pay is $30 per visit.
Medication Nurse Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer medications as directed by client’s physician and document on MAR
- Review Physician’s Orders for current dates and any changes
- Review MARs with orders monthly and sign
- Monitor medications for correct storage and expiration
- Complete progress notes, care plans, and other documentation as needed
- Administer First Aid in event of injury and complete Incident Report
- Inform SALSA about any important information about the client and his condition (emotionally and physically)
Skills and Specifications
- Have basic knowledge and understanding of medical and social needs of clients
- Be understanding and empathetic with clients and families
- Have a cheerful personality and try to bring positivity to the clients and program
- Have dedicated work ethic
- Be able to handle multiple clients
- Be able to handle emergency situations with a calm manner
Education and Qualifications
- LPN license
- Experience working with clients with impaired physical and cognitive ability is strongly preferred
- The Director has the right to determine an applicant’s qualification for position
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 per hour
