Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse to join our healthcare team. The Charge Nurse will play a pivotal role in overseeing patient care, managing nursing staff, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing staff and coordinate patient care activities on the unit.
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients.
- Provide direct patient care, including catheter care, acute pain management, and behavioral health support.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families about health management, including family planning and dementia care.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with ICD-10 coding standards.
- Assist in hospice care as needed, providing compassionate support to patients and families.
Qualifications
- Current nursing license in the state of practice.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a charge nurse or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality.
- Experience with catheter care, acute pain management, behavioral health, family planning, dementia care, and hospice care is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple tasks.
