Family owned machine shop looking for a reliable, self-motivating, and quick learner to join our team. Experience is preferred, but not required for the right candidate who is willing to put in the work and learn.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with grinding and prepping parts for welding.
- Prepares materials for upcoming jobs, including gathering materials and positioning workpieces.
- Prepare finished parts for shipping, including packaging, applying protective coatings, and stamping with serial numbers.
- Assist with loading and unloading parts from trucks as needed.
- General shop duties include sweeping, cleaning, maintaining machines and other tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Eager to learn and cross train
- Strong work ethic
- Reliable transportation/ Ability to arrive to work on time
- High School Diploma/ GED
- Must be able to stay focused on tasks to completion
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift heavy objects at times
- Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner
