Job Overview
A Machine Shop Manager is needed to lead the Team and help grow the business.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of machine shop operations
- Plan, direct and execute production schedules
- Create and manage weekly production schedules, monitor daily output and ensure on time delivery
- Oversee the purchasing of materials, tooling, and consumables
- Manage inventory levels using Excel and ERP systems
- Maintain OSHA compliance and promote a safe work environment
- Perform first piece inspections and ensure all work meets required quality standards
- Address customer technical inquiries and quality concerns
- Drive process improvements, implement lean practices
- Develop, implement, and maintain programs and SOPs to ensure consistency and efficiency
- Write and assist with CNC machine programs to ensure efficient and accurate operations ( Mazak and Okuma experience a plus )
- Lead, train and mentor employees. Manage performance, provide feedback, and coordinate training programs
- Collaborate with customers on technical inquiries, provide delivery quotes, and ensure satisfaction
- Provide labor estimates for RFQs, manage departmental budgets, and track KPI,s
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred
- Minimum 10 years of machine shop supervisory experience
- Must have machine shop background
- Must be able to be hands on as needed
- Must have a positive attitude, be a team player
- CNC machine programming experience required ( Mazak preferred )
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks
- Experience with tooling and fixture design
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office ( Excel, Word )
- ERP system experience preferred
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices and implementation
- Experience with 5S and OSHA standards
- Experience developing and implementing programs and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
