Position Summary:
American Anthracite is seeking a Fixed Asset Coordinator to lead efforts in reducing downtime and improving the operational efficiency of our carbon processing plants. This role is responsible for analyzing equipment performance, managing maintenance schedules, and coordinating repair efforts to ensure that our fixed assets, such as crushers, conveyors, and vibrating screens, operate at peak reliability.
Responsibilities
· Review and improve current systems for tracking scheduled time, downtime, and operational efficiency at each plant
· Develop a system to log all planned and unplanned downtime events with accuracy
· Analyze downtime data and report findings regularly to leadership
· Establish and manage systems to initiate equipment repairs and track work progress and cost impact
· Determine preventative maintenance schedules based on asset life expectancy and performance indicators
· Lead continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing equipment downtime and increasing productivity
· Coordinate with mechanics, engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely repairs and upgrades
· Manage procurement of repair parts and related equipment as needed
Preferred Qualification
· 5 years of relevant experience
· At least 2 years of experience in asset management, maintenance planning, or a similar role
· Familiarity with fixed equipment such as crushers, conveyors, vibrating screens, pumps, and other bulk material handling systems
· Ability to work collaboratively with personnel at all levels—from mechanics to management
· Welding or fabrication experience is a plus
Requirements
· Must be able to lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally
· Valid driver’s license
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (minimum 2 years of experience)
· Experience with asset management systems
· Ability to interpret technical drawings and equipment schematics
· Must be able to climb ladders, work at heights, operate lifts, and work in both indoor and outdoor environments
· Comfortable with a 70% office / 30% field work balance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
