As the Maintenance Assistant you will assist in ensuring a safe, attractive, clean, well maintained living environment for community residents and guests, while also ensuring state and federal regulatory compliance.
Working in an Assisted Living Community requires a level 2 background Screening.
Shift - Saturday through Wednesday with Thursday's & Friday's off; 9am-5:30pm
Responsibilities:
o Complete work orders as assigned by the Maintenance Director.
o Provide maintenance service with excellent customer service.
- Continuously monitors all areas of the community and grounds and takes appropriate action to ensure they are properly and safely maintained.
- Properly tracks and documents all preventive maintenance and resident work orders assuring that all work is performed timely and to the highest quality possible.
- Completes timely and efficiently the turnaround of vacated apartments to prepare them for visits from prospective residents and move in of new residents.
- Participates in the community’s emergency preparedness programs.
- Assists with the setup and tear-down for special events and activities.
- Ensures safe and proper storage of cleaning supplies, chemicals, tools and equipment.
- Assists with all housekeeping duties.
Qualifications
- Experience with HVAC, plumbing, carpentry preferred.
- Proficiency in a wide variety of general maintenance tasks, such as painting, basic carpentry, minor dry wall repair, installation of assorted fixtures, and electrical and plumbing repairs that do not require a license.
- Valid Drivers’ License in Florida
- Maintenance & Housekeeping: 2 years (Preferred)

- Able to stand and walk the entire shift.

- Potential injury from transferring, repositioning, or lifting residents.
- Possible exposure to communicable diseases and infections.
- Possible exposure to blood-borne pathogens
- Possible exposure to various drugs, chemical, infectious, or biological hazards.
- Subject to injury from falls, burns, odors, or cuts from equipment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
