Position Details
- Become familiar with the policies and procedures that is associated with Merakey. Comply with these policies and procedures in carrying out all aspects of the job.
- Be directly responsible and report to the Maintenance Manager
- Comply with work schedule. Call the program to report absence or lateness of work.
- Complete daily work assignments made by program supervisor.
- Attend periodic staff meetings and mandatory in-service trainings.
- Uphold the missions, values and philosophy for Service of Merakey and uphold the general standard of professional conduct that relates to the position.
- Assume on-call coverage for emergency maintenance responsibilities.
- Able to work with Power tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Proficient performing desk and furniture repair
- Proficient performing surface preparation and paint
- Proficient performing wall and ceiling tile repair
- Proficient performing electrical repairs.
- Proficient performing roof repairs
- Proficient performing repairs to the HVAC system, ongoing maintenance
- Proficient performing parking lot repair and maintenance
- Proficient performing plumbing repair and maintenance
- Proficient performing lock repairs
- Proficient performing necessary renovations and upgrades to the physical plant.
- Proficient performing all types of home and building maintenance.
- Perform walkthrough inspections of sites, report and address repairs in a timely manner.
- Perform assigned projects while working with other or independently.

QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Must be 25 years or older.
- Must possess a valid driver's license. (Prefer candidates have their own transportation)
- Must have a verifiable High School diploma/G.E.D.
- Must have 3 years of experience.
- Must have skills and knowledge in all phases of maintenance repairs, carpentry, light electric, plumbing, drywall and spackle repair, painting would be a plus
