Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance and demonstrate proficiency in various technical skills. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, performing routine maintenance, and addressing any repair needs promptly. The Maintenance Technician will work collaboratively with other team members to maintain a safe and efficient environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs
- Perform repairs and maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting and repairs
- Execute welding tasks as required for structural or equipment repairs
- Interpret schematics to diagnose issues effectively
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Oversee residential painting projects to ensure quality standards are met
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with staff and clients
- Lead and supervise junior maintenance staff when necessary
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to minimize downtime during repairs
Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in facilities maintenance
- Proficient in electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques
- Familiarity with ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools
- Previous experience in a supervisory role is preferred but not required
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Background in customer service, showcasing strong interpersonal skills
