We began providing residential services to individuals living with disabilities in 1977, and in 1984 became the first non-governmental entity in Minnesota to offer waiver case management. Our services include waiver case management, community living services, care coordination, respite care, and community-based residential programs.
FTE: 1.0 (40 hours per week)
- Conduct ongoing inspections of property and equipment at all locations.
- Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
- Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
- Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.
- Maintain or repair specialized equipment or machinery located in residential and commercial locations
- Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
- Adjust functional parts of devices or control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, or straightedges.
- Order parts, supplies, or equipment from catalogs or suppliers.
- Plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.
- Paint or repair internal structures such as doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, or other parts of building structures.
- Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
- Remain flexible and available to address maintenance emergencies as they arise, including being on-call approximately one week/month, including the weekend.
- Possess team-playing abilities, effective listening skills, and strong overall social and communication skills.

- Preferred three or more years of experience, minimum of two years, in professional maintenance duties and use of common hand and power tools
- Background Clearance through the Department of Human Services
- Valid Driver’s License. Must have and maintain a clean driving record per company policy
- Proficient in speaking, comprehending, reading, and writing English
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be physically capable of performing job-related tasks such as prolonged standing, lifting heavy items, snow removal, hand scrubbing/scraping of floors, etc
- Ability to operate a company automobile
- Ability to perform physical tasks requiring bending at the waist, twisting, lifting, and carrying loads up to 50 pounds
