Manager, Corporate Business Development - Strategic Fintech Partnerships

Intuit
$209,836 - $295,745 a year
Mountain View, California

Overview

The Corporate Business Development function at Intuit is focused on Intuit's Big Bets, prioritizing cross-company partnerships with our most critical partners to drive substantial long-term growth. This team collaborates with the world's largest platforms, financial institutions, and ISVs to achieve ambitious goals, ensuring Intuit products deliver seamless "done for you" experiences for our customers.

Key initiatives for the Corporate Business Development team include:

  • Driving and executing a "One-Intuit partner strategy" with principal platform partners to boost top-line growth.
  • Identifying, developing and managing strategic partnerships across all our business lines to unlock new markets and opportunities.
  • Managing our most critical company-wide named strategic partners through a coordinated One-Intuit approach.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced, strategic, and results-driven Manager, Business Development for our Corporate Business Development team. This individual will play a leadership role in sourcing, negotiating, and managing strategic partnerships that drive substantial value for Intuit and accelerate our growth trajectory.

What you'll bring

  • 7+ years of overall experience with 3+ years specifically in building strategic partnerships or business development within the technology industry, with a strong preference for SaaS or platform company experience.
  • Proven track record of independently sourcing, structuring, negotiating, and closing complex, multi-faceted partnerships with large strategic enterprises that delivered significant and quantifiable results.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of strategic partnerships, including developing robust joint business plans, tracking performance metrics against established KPIs, and consistently exceeding growth targets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence executives at all levels, build strong relationships with external partners, and inspire internal stakeholders.
  • Strategic mindset, strong business acumen, and a data-driven approach to decision-making, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, identify the critical path to success, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently, proactively defining strategies, initiating ideas, and driving initiatives forward with minimal guidance.

How you will lead

  • Collaborate closely with internal executive leadership to identify, prioritize and pursue high-impact partnership opportunities. Continuously evaluate build vs. buy vs. partner options, challenging assumptions and bringing new perspectives on achieving product and business objectives.
  • Cultivate relationships and influence key decision-makers internally and at partner organizations. Proactively identify potential barriers and display creativity and persistence in working through setbacks to achieve optimal outcomes for Intuit.
  • Serve as the end-to-end owner for contract negotiations, leveraging deep expertise, data-driven insights, and strong emotional intelligence to navigate challenging discussions and secure favorable terms for Intuit while maintaining strong partner relationships.
  • Oversee the execution of agreements, including the development of joint business plans, establishment of launch strategies, and ongoing monitoring of performance metrics to ensure successful implementation and achievement of defined goals. Actively identify opportunities to expand partnerships into new areas and maximize value creation.
  • Establish yourself as a trusted thought partner to business unit stakeholders and actively share expertise and best practices. Influence the team's strategic direction, anticipate objections, and proactively address concerns to secure buy-in and drive initiatives forward.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing business development team, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, results-orientation, and a deep commitment to partnership success.
