Job Title: Mandarin Chinese Tutor for Young Learner (Age 5) – Mattituck, NY

Job Description:
We are seeking a warm, patient, and experienced Mandarin Chinese tutor to work one-on-one with a 5-year-old beginner student in Mattituck, NY. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching young children through engaging, age-appropriate methods such as play, music, storytelling, and visual aids.
Responsibilities:
- Provide regular Mandarin Chinese lessons (once per week, flexible schedule)
- Introduce and reinforce basic vocabulary, pronunciation, and simple conversational phrases
- Create fun, interactive, and developmentally appropriate learning activities
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment
- Communicate progress and suggestions with the parent/guardian
Qualifications:
- Native or fluent Mandarin speaker
- Prior experience teaching young children (especially ages 3–7) preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education techniques
- Reliable transportation to/from Mattituck, NY (North Fork, LI)
- Ability to engage and motivate a young learner with creativity and patience
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $70.00 - $80.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 1 per week
