Piccadilly Market is looking for a friendly, hard-working individual to join our team as a Market Associate. Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service & Hospitality
- Deliver warm, welcoming, and informed service to every guest
- Assist customers with product questions, suggestions, and general checkout support
- Maintain a clean, approachable, and well-organized store layout
- Create a positive, inclusive atmosphere where regulars and new customers feel at home
Stocking & Manual Labor
- Receive, stock, and organize deliveries
- Lift and move heavy boxes (up to 50 lbs) and cases of product
- Maintain cleanliness and order in storage and back-of-house areas
- Rotate inventory and check for product quality and expiration dates
Store Operations
- Operate the register, handle cash and credit transactions accurately
- Use basic math skills for transactions, counting inventory, and receiving deliveries
- Restock and merchandise shelves throughout the day as needed
- Support the team in daily opening and closing duties
Qualifications:
- Prior retail, grocery, or customer service experience preferred but not required
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout a shift
- Comfortable with physical, on-your-feet work and repetitive tasks
- Friendly, team-oriented, and proactive attitude
- Strong communication and basic math skills
- Intermediate Wine Knowledge with interest in expanded study
Availability:
3-4 shifts a week. Approximately 25 hours a week. Weekend (Saturday and Sunday), evening and select holiday availability required.
