Job Description
As part of the Keys to Change Development Team, the Marketing Coordinator will support the implementation of communication and marketing strategies to help achieve departmental goals and objectives as set by the Director of Development and Marketing and Communications Manager.

I. Summary
Responsible for supporting marketing efforts to deliver consistent communication, brand awareness, and data fidelity on behalf of Keys to Change. This position will be responsible for updating, organizing, and at times creating marketing materials including written copy, digital assets, photography, and visual brand identity and communications. This position will oversee day-to-day social media operations including content creation and analytics. In support of the Marketing and Communications Manager, this role will assist with market research, audience segmentation, and communications calendar planning and implementation.
II. Essential Functions
  • Social Media: Create and post content with direction and oversight from the Marketing and Communications Manager, with a focus on increasing engagement, promoting brand awareness, and telling the Keys to Change story with authenticity and consistency. Create and roll out social media marketing campaigns and challenges to align with Annual Communications Calendar. Track KPIs and recommend improvements.
  • Content Management: Adapt messaging supplied by Marketing and Communications Manager to different platforms including e-newsletters, social media, and print materials. Organize and file digital assets, toolkits, and historic external and internal communications.
  • Marketing Materials: Manage collateral inventory including swag, brochures, and annual reports. Maintain an organized digital and physical marketing workspace.
  • Communications Calendar: Track and make updates to the annual communications calendar to reflect the activities and priorities of the Keys to Change Marketing Department. Coordinate with external and internal stakeholders to schedule meetings, send reminders, and maintain an accurate and precise calendar.
  • Storytelling: Assist with the sourcing, scheduling, and executing organizational storytelling efforts including client success stories and organizational successes. Build relationships with staff and clients to uncover leads and recommend story subjects, to uplift the voices of the community and the organization.
  • Branding: Uphold brand consistency across diverse platforms, including 3rd party fundraisers, community partner communications, social media posts, and internal documents and materials.
  • Website and Web Presence: Monitor online presence of Keys to Change through Google Alerts, Analytics, market research, and basic updates to website content at the direction of the Marketing and Communications Manager.
  • Community Engagement: Represent Keys to Change at community events, and assist various departments to ensure marketing materials are available and well-kept for their own events and objectives. Attend a majority of Keys to Change events to capture photos and event details
  • General Support: Assist with daily operations of the Development Department including assisting with volunteer activities, events, tours, meeting attendance and meeting notes.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

IV. Minimum Qualifications
  • Associates degree in communications, marketing, social/digital communications or related field preferred. Comparable education and experience will be considered
  • 1-2 years of experience in social media marketing, graphic design, copy writing, and/or community or civic engagement
  • Strong verbal skills and ability to write consistently with few or no spelling and/or grammatical errors (a writing sample may be requested)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to precision and accuracy in content, data, and day-to-day communications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required; additional experience with Adobe, Canva, Photoshop, Wordpress, Virtuous CRM, and/or Excel a plus
  • Ability to work autonomously, adhere to deadlines, and show initiative
V. Required Functional Abilities
  • Mobility sufficient to conduct regular duties within a normal office environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds in order to safely manage office supplies and equipment.
