Marketing Coordinator (Temporary)

Role Summary: Join our dynamic team to plan, develop, and implement marketing and community engagement strategies that enhance our department’s services, programs, and special events. This position is part-time/temporary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Design and implement marketing initiatives for promotional events, publications, and advertising campaigns.
- Social Media Management: Develop and evaluate social media campaigns on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter; monitor and address consumer interactions.
- Content Creation: Design and produce newsletters, program catalogs, event flyers, and website content in collaboration with a contracted print house.
- Graphic Design: Prepare camera-ready copy and graphics; utilize various software for creative and quality outputs.
- Community Relations: Promote department with local businesses and media; ensure positive engagement.
- Team Collaboration: Attend department meetings and contribute to team goals.
- Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as needed.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, graphic design, or business administration, or equivalent experience.
- Availability: Must be able to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
- Background Check: Employment contingent on passing a nationwide background check.
- License: Valid driver’s license required.
- Comprehensive knowledge of departmental methods, procedures, and policies.
- Familiarity with relevant laws, ordinances, and regulations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to align work with organizational goals.
- Effective communication and team collaboration abilities.
- Proficient in managing complex concepts related to program development and staff oversight.
