Phillips Edison’s operating platform provides retail services including acquisition, redevelopment, leasing and management of grocery-anchored retail centers.
What you’ll do:
The Marketing Intern will work directly with the Senior Marketing & Graphic Design Specialist and other Marketing & Communications team members. You will be a contributing member of a small, powerful team that serves as the company’s in-house creative agency and gain exposure to the exciting world of commercial real estate.
- Assist in identifying, planning, and implementing new communications, marketing, and promotional campaign strategies
- Create and curate content for the company’s social media sites
- Conduct data analysis for social media performance and email campaign performance
- Work on digital media and web projects including but not limited to SEO, Facebook Marketing, and Google ads that support the sales team’s efforts to sign new tenants
- Additional duties as assigned
What you’ll learn:
- Throughout the internship term this role provides the student with the following:
- Executing a marketing strategy that supports the company’s brand and the various business units
- Hands-on experience working on real solutions that impact that company with direct access to the Associate VP of Content Marketing and the Chief Marketing Officer
- Learn or further develop the process of documenting work performed on projects and communicating effectively with supervisors and company personnel
- Further develop skills required to interact with other professionals at varying levels of the company
- Further develop time management skills and the ability to be responsible for more than one project at a time
What we’re looking for:
- A current undergraduate student who is able to work full-time and in person during the semester
- A current university student enrolled in a degree seeking program studying Marketing or another related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Demonstrated leadership experience and prior marketing internship experience preferred
- Marketing savvy and creativity
- Proven social media skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, with direction and guidance, and on a team
- Excellent organizational skills with proven ability to balance multiple priorities at once with attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience with marketing automation systems like HubSpot highly desirable
