Duties and Requirements of the Job:
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently in close proximity to equipment and personnel.
- Unload all incoming trucks during assigned shift hours.
- Transport inspected components to designated storage areas.
- Collaborate with Quality Engineers, Plant Supervisors, and other staff as needed.
- Perform accurate daily inventory and component counts.
- Complete and submit daily forklift inspection checklists.
- Ensure timely and accurate local deliveries.
- Assist with dock operations, including loading and unloading trucks.
- Sort and organize returnable containers daily to maintain consistency.
- Maintain clear and safe driving paths, including outdoor areas.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Training, Knowledge and Experience:
- 2-3 years-relevant work experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must successfully obtain and maintain forklift certification.
Physical Requirements to Perform the Duties of the Job:
- Consistent and reliable attendance is essential.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and frequently carry up to 30 pounds.
- Regular movement including standing, walking, lifting, bending, and maneuvering around equipment.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in a manufacturing environment for automotive parts.
- Exposure to varying temperatures and fumes may occur.
