Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Material Handler to join our team. Responsible for the distribution of raw materials while stocking and puling material from inventory. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient handling of materials within our warehouse environment. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining a smooth workflow and ensuring that all shipping and receiving processes are executed accurately and timely. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience with various warehouse equipment.
Duties
- Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, including clamp trucks, cherry pickers, and cranes.
- Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, Excel
- Oversee shipping and receiving operations to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
- Utilize RF scanners for inventory management and tracking.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
- Build pallets and prepare materials for shipment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance.
- Train and mentor junior material handlers in best practices for equipment operation and material handling.
- Parts Washer experience is a plus
Experience
- Proven experience in a warehouse setting, particularly in material handling roles.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is highly desirable.
- Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor or in a leadership role is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Proficiency in using order pickers and other warehouse machinery.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining individual accountability.

Job Types: Full-time, Temp-to-hire
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
