Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive learning environment and inspiring students to develop a strong foundation in mathematics. This role involves teaching various mathematical concepts, from basic arithmetic to advanced topics, while also integrating real-world applications. The Mathematics Teacher will work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and support student success.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Teach mathematical concepts including algebra, geometry, calculus, and differential equations.
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Assess student performance through standardized testing and provide constructive feedback.
- Support students with special education needs through tailored instructional strategies.
- Mentor students in their academic pursuits and encourage critical thinking skills.
- Collaborate with fellow educators on curriculum development and interdisciplinary projects.
- Incorporate laboratory activities related to mathematics in real-world contexts, such as cell biology applications.
- Provide additional support for students struggling with course material through tutoring sessions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Education with a focus on Mathematics; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience in higher education teaching is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of classroom management techniques and differentiated instruction strategies.
- Familiarity with standardized testing protocols and assessment methods.
- Ability to develop curriculum that meets diverse learning needs, including those of special education students.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage students effectively.
- A passion for mentoring students and fostering their love for mathematics.
- Experience in laboratory settings is beneficial, particularly in relating mathematical concepts to scientific disciplines.

Pay: $35.00 - $55.00 per hour
