Summary
We are seeking an MDS Coordinator to join our team at Kissito Healthcare. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring compliance with regulations while enhancing the quality of care provided to our residents. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the completion of MDS assessments in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Ensure accurate medical documentation and coding for resident assessments.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans.
- Monitor resident progress and adjust care plans as necessary to meet changing needs.
- Provide training and support to staff regarding MDS processes and documentation standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations related to MDS assessments and compliance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in MDS coordination or related healthcare role.
- Strong understanding of ICD-10 coding and medical documentation practices.
- Familiarity with skilled nursing facilities and case management processes.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with staff and residents.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple assessments efficiently.
