Mechanical Assembler

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical components and systems according to specifications and schematics. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, experience with precision measuring instruments, and a solid understanding of assembly processes. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components and systems using hand tools and machinery.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate assembly.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify component dimensions.
• Perform machining tasks as needed to prepare parts for assembly.
• Conduct quality checks throughout the assembly process to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area within the warehouse.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Assist in welding tasks when required, ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in mechanical assembly or a related field.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers.
• Ability to operate hand tools and machinery safely and effectively.
• Experience in machining is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot assembly issues.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a warehouse environment.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Mechanical assembly: 3 years (Preferred)
• Hand tools: 3 years (Preferred)
