Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical components according to blueprints and specifications.
- Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools to complete assemblies.
- Perform quality control checks throughout the assembly process, identifying and correcting any defects.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Utilize your knowledge of fasteners and mechanical assembly techniques to build reliable products.
- Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
- Utilize soldering techniques where required.
- Perform welding tasks (if applicable) according to safety standards.
Required Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent is required. A technical school certificate or vocational training in a related field is a plus.
Experience
- At least one year of experience in mechanical assembly is required.
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools is essential.
Knowledge/Skills
- Proficient in blueprint reading.
- Strong understanding of mechanical assembly principles.
- Ability to perform quality control checks and identify defects.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to use various fasteners effectively.
- Knowledge of soldering techniques.
- Welding experience is a plus (if applicable).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with specific machinery or equipment used in our manufacturing process is a plus.
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is preferred.
Physical Requirements/Work Conditions
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly.
- Climbing, Bending, Lifting, Pulling and Pushing.
- Outside weather conditions associated with precipitation of temperature
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to follow safety regulations and wear appropriate safety equipment.
Work Hazards
- Electrical Hazards including following Lockout / Tagout processes
- Overhead equipment and crane operation
- Working from elevated platforms and lifts – utilization of fall arrest equipment
- Lifting of heavy equipment – must have the ability to lift 35 lbs
- Exterior weather conditions
