Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Mechanical Drafter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and plans that adhere to industry standards. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and proficiency in various drafting software. The Mechanical Drafter will collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure designs meet project specifications and requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed mechanical drawings using CAD software, including AutoCAD, Inventor, and Solidworks.
- Create 3D models and simulations to visualize designs and assess functionality.
- Collaborate with engineers to understand project requirements and incorporate feedback into designs.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations throughout the drafting process.
- Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to evaluate design integrity and performance.
- Prepare technical documentation, including specifications, manuals, and reports.
- Utilize Bluebeam for document management and collaboration on project drawings.
- Maintain organized records of all drafts, revisions, and related documentation.
Skills
- Proficiency in drafting software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, and Solidworks.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and system design.
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) techniques.
- Excellent technical writing skills for creating clear documentation.
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards relevant to mechanical drafting.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
