About Us
At Interventional Pain Associates, we specialize in providing cutting-edge, minimally invasive treatments to help patients manage chronic pain. Led by two highly knowledgeable and experienced providers, our practice has a strong referral base and operates a fast-paced clinic where the days go by quickly. We are a small, close-knit team that values punctuality, teamwork, and a commitment to excellent patient care. Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
***We are an interventional pain management office, meaning that we do not prescribe or manage pain medication.
Position: Medical Assistant
We are looking for a motivated and punctual Medical Assistant who is eager to learn and grow in a dynamic environment. This role involves working closely with our providers to deliver exceptional care and support to our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with patient intake, including taking vital signs and documenting medical histories.
- Provide patient education on treatment plans, procedures, and medication instructions.
- Administer medications as directed by providers.
- Learn and perform X-ray procedures under the guidance of our experienced team.
- Assist with billing processes, and ultimately learn the how to reconcile claims and credential providers with insurance companies (experience in billing for interventional pain procedures is a significant asset).
- Support providers during interventional pain procedures and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment.
- Ensure accurate patient records and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Prep providers' charts prior to clinic days to insure a smooth workflow
- Maintain supplies needed for procedures, take on ordering responsibility over time
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Proficiency in taking vital signs, patient education, and medication administration.
- Willingness to learn X-ray procedures (training provided).
- Some experience with medical billing preferred; experience in billing for interventional pain procedures is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Motivated, punctual, and reliable with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to thrive in a busy, team-oriented environment.
