Doctors Urgent Care Walk-In Clinic Jackson is seeking a motivated full time Medical Assistant to join our growing team! We provide paid training, and Bonuses!
Responsibilities:
- Team player, goal oriented and is capable of multi-tasking.
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient care and procedures
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist with medical procedures
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment
- Provide medical administrative support, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Must be able to work 10-12 hour shifts
Skills:
- Insurance verification
- Familiar with simple computer tasks and Microsoft
- Vitals
- COVID 19 Testing
- Collecting urine specimens and preparing for LAB send-outs
- In office testing including FLU, strep and pregnancy testing.
- EKG's
- Able to check blood pressure manually
- Injections/Immunizations-Prepare for suturing-Sterilization, etc.
- Ability to accurately administer medications and perform basic life support techniques
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and empathetic towards patients' needs
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems
