Job Description
Job Title: Medical Assistant (MA)
Job Summary: As a Medical Assistant (MA), you will be responsible for providing support to healthcare professionals in various medical settings. Your primary role will be to assist with patient care and administrative tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the medical facility.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and treatments
- Take and record vital signs, patient histories, and other medical information
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Perform basic medical procedures such as venipuncture and EKGs
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Schedule appointments, update medical records, and handle administrative tasks
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in exam rooms and other medical areas
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a medical assistant program or relevant certification
- Previous experience in a medical setting is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic medical procedures
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
