Coastal Infusion invites candidates with experience in billing for medical infusion services to apply for a position as a MEDICAL BILLER.
“Experience billing for medical infusion services” means that you understand billing for J-codes, and have previously billed for infused drugs at:
- an Ambulatory Infusion Center
- a home infusion provider
- a cancer center
- a gastro, rheum, or neurology office.
This is not a coding position.

ABOUT THIS JOB
This position will initially focus on collections of denied claims and dollars “left behind” at secondary and tertiary payers. As such, it requires a patient and persistent individual willing to follow-up with payers to determine why payments were denied or “stuck.”
ALL of the Following are Required:
- Highly-motivated candidates with a 4-year college degree (BA/BS) and at least one year of experience in a medical office environment may apply.
- In lieu of a degree, we will accept a minimum of 5 years’ medical billing experience. This includes coding for medical infusions.
- Understanding of common billing concepts like J-codes, E&M codes, superbills, payment posting.
- Knowledge drug co-pay assistance programs.
After training, the Medical Biller can work from home, but this position requires periodic visits to Coastal Offices in northern Broward/Palm Beach County, FL.
