Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate individual with experience in rideshare services (e.g., Uber, Lyft, or similar) who has their own well-maintained vehicle. This role supports our SHOP/CHOP Medical Department by providing transportation to patient homes, assisting providers with essential paperwork, and performing basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs.

This is a unique opportunity for individuals who enjoy driving and working with people while contributing to patient care in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe, timely transportation for medical staff to and from patient homes.
  • Assist providers during home visits with completing necessary forms and documentation.
  • Collect and record vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, etc.) as directed by the provider.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with patients and medical staff.
  • Ensure proper handling of medical supplies and equipment during transport.
  • Maintain cleanliness and readiness of your personal vehicle for transport.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ownership of a reliable, well-maintained vehicle.
  • Prior experience as a rideshare or delivery driver is highly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to take and record vital signs (training will be provided if needed).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be comfortable with local travel and flexible scheduling.
  • A commitment to patient privacy and confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic healthcare experience (e.g., as a Medical Assistant) is a plus.
  • CPR certification is a plus.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.
