Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
Job Summary:
As a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), you will be responsible for conducting routine medical laboratory tests and procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. You will collect and analyze samples of blood, tissue, and other bodily fluids, as well as maintain laboratory equipment and ensure accurate test results.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Perform a variety of laboratory tests on patient samples.
2. Ensure that all tests are performed accurately and in a timely manner.
3. Prepare samples for analysis and maintain accurate records of test results.
4. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
5. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
6. Communicate test results to healthcare providers and assist in the interpretation of findings.
7. Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities.
8. Assist in the training of new laboratory staff.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field.
2. Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT).
3. Knowledge of laboratory techniques and procedures.
4. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
7. Strong computer skills and proficiency in laboratory information systems.
