Notre Dame Academy - Schools of Los Angeles is a K-12 Catholic school dedicated to empowering students to think critically and creatively in both academic and extracurricular activities.
We are looking for dedicated and inspired Girls Basketball Coach who has experience in both coaching and playing. This Coach would head up our D2 6th grade team. Our school is located in Palms in Los Angeles. The hours will vary between 5-8 hours depending on schedule. *(There is opportunity to also assist at the High School level with the Varsity team which would lead to increased hours.)
As a Basketball coach , you will be expected to:
- Teach and guide students through various forms of coaching that will allow them to be ready for competitions that are held weekly. The levels for students vary but the coach should be apt in leading the students through drills ranging from individual skill work, strategic planning and live team scrimmages.
- Communicate and coordinate with the administrators in team organization and other necessary tasks. We want bright and positive coaches to be part of our team of coaches.
- Be punctual and prepared for all practices and games.
- Be patient and understanding with the student athletes.
Job Qualifications
Prior coaching experience is highly preferred, but we welcome all applicants who have the passion, drive, and empathy to learn and grow.
The applicants must have love for education, coaching and the sport. We expect all applicants to maintain the highest degree of professionalism, respect, and integrity at the workplace towards all members of Notre Dame Academy.
Applicants must be able to commute to our school in Palms in Los Angeles.
Job Type: Part-time
Schedule:
- 5-8 Hours per week
- After school practices twice a week for an hour and a half, game at the end of each week.
- 2-3 day commitment
- January - March
- Potentially opportunity to work as a High School Varsity Assistant as well (September through February)
