General Job Description:
Teachers at Evangel Christian School are partners with the ministry and parents in providing a Christ-centered education to each student. Teachers are responsible for being timely in arrival, lesson plan submission, and grading. They collaborate with the leadership team and parents to ensure the best possible education for students. Above all, teachers at Evangel are Jesus-followers with a gifting in education who want to run classrooms that value Biblical principals in all subject areas
Duties & Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Impart God’s truth and academic excellence into the lives of the students using lesson plans, curriculum, supplementary materials, field trips, and special guests as appropriate to provide a world-class education
- Establish a developmentally appropriate, positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
- Arrive on time and keep working hours
- Communicate regularly with parents
- Communicate with Leadership, Faculty and Staff
- Work well with other team members, especially in planning special events such as field trips
- Become proficient in our student management software
- Facilitate learning with excellence
- Keep accurate records and updates
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Educational experience
- Willingness to become certified or existing teacher certification
- A Biblical Worldview-modeling teaching, and leading with actions and decisions that are consistent with God's Word per our school statement of faith.
- Integrity-demonstrating exemplary practices reflective of Christian ethics with accountability to Christ, our school, and the greater community.

- Being happy to help- even if it's with students who are moody or hard to love
