Teaching Assistant and Apprentice Teacher roles at Great Hearts:
- Teaching Assistants and Apprentices will support the lead teachers in the implementation of Core Knowledge curriculum. Subjects will include Language Arts, Mathematics (Singapore), History and Geography (American/World History and Geography), and Science.
- As an Apprentice Teacher, you function as a second teacher in the classroom, without shouldering the burden of all planning, grading/evaluation, parent communications
- Through mentorship with a Lead Teacher, you learn the craft of teaching in a classical, liberal arts primary-school environment.
- Many of our ATs become lead teachers at either lower or upper schools (assuming a bachelor’s degree)

- Certification is not required
- Work Authorization - US work authorization is required
