As a Mobile Equipment Maintenance Manager, you will be vital in maintaining and repairing our fleet of heavy machinery. Your expertise will ensure our operations run smoothly, contributing to our commitment to safety and sustainability in the recycling industry.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and lead a team of maintenance mechanics in performing maintenance and repairs on diesel and hydraulic equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and services on machinery to prevent breakdowns.
- Develop maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and enhance performance of heavy equipment.
- Collaborate with management to implement improvements in maintenance processes.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot equipment problems effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe working environment during repairs.
- Conduct inspections of heavy equipment to identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed on equipment.
- Stay updated on industry best practices for heavy equipment maintenance and safety standards.
- Assist in training junior mechanics on proper repair techniques and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Proven leadership experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role in the recycling or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic repair and diagnostics.
- Familiarity with electrical systems related to heavy machinery is essential.
- Ability to read schematics and technical documents for troubleshooting purposes.
- Experience with heavy equipment operation a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in repairs.
- Strong commitment to safety practices in the workplace.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
