Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mobile Phlebotomist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing blood draws and specimen collection in various locations, ensuring high-quality patient service and adherence to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and techniques, as well as excellent interpersonal skills to interact with patients in diverse settings.
Duties
- Perform blood sampling and specimen collection using aseptic techniques in accordance with established protocols.
- Ensure proper handling, labeling, and processing of specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Conduct vital sign assessments as needed prior to specimen collection.
- Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and specimen collection activities.
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing any concerns or questions during the phlebotomy process.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
- Stay updated on laboratory techniques and procedures to maintain compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications
- Proven minimum of 3 years experience in specimen collection processing and blood sampling techniques.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and laboratory procedures.
- Proficiency in aseptic technique and adherence to safety protocols.
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Familiarity with hospital environments and the ability to work independently in various locations.
- Certification is required
Join our team as a Mobile Phlebotomist and contribute to providing essential healthcare services while enjoying the flexibility of working in multiple settings. This is a 1099/ independent contractor position.
Job Types: Contract, PRN, Per diem
Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3 – 20 per week
