Job Overview
We are chef owned tavern in North Golden, CO seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook/Manager to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by overseeing food preparation, adhering to high quality food standards, managing consistency of products and recipes, and overseeing a morning staff crew through lunch service. This position requires a strong understanding of the food industry, a skilled background in cooking and an emphasis on quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily prep activities to ensure recipes are followed consistently
- Work with your team to ensure all items are prepped and stocked for service
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations.
- Receive bi - weekly orders and put away and organize coolers and dry storage spaces.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen to promote a safe working environment.
- Assist in running a smooth lunch service
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and place orders as needed.
- Work with other team members to ensure smooth and successful service
Experience
- Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment is required.
- Strong background in food preparation and and full service restaurant experience.
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and food safety regulations is necessary.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are important for success in this role.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
