Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled MSBI Developer to join our team in Hartford, CT for a 6-month onsite contract. The ideal candidate will be experienced in the full Microsoft Business Intelligence (MSBI) stack including SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), and SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services). This role will require strong SQL skills, a deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, and the ability to work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to develop, maintain, and optimize BI solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using SSIS for data integration from various sources.
- Create and maintain interactive reports and dashboards using SSRS.
- Develop OLAP cubes and data models using SSAS to support business analytics.
- Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into BI solutions.
- Perform data analysis, validation, and reconciliation across systems to ensure data accuracy and quality.
- Optimize and troubleshoot existing BI processes for performance and reliability.
- Implement data warehousing solutions using best practices in data architecture and governance.
- Work with DBA teams to manage and monitor MSBI environments and deployments.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in MSBI development (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS).
- Strong T-SQL skills including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
- Experience with data warehouse architecture and development.
- Ability to analyze large data sets and convert business requirements into scalable BI solutions.
- Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance standards.
- Experience working in agile development environments is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Power BI is a plus.
- Prior experience working in state or public sector environments.
- Knowledge of Azure Data Services (ADF, Synapse) is a bonus.

- This is a 100% onsite position; remote work is not available.
- Only candidates residing in Connecticut or those willing to relocate immediately will be considered.
