Position Title: General Manager of Dispensary Sales & Operations

Oversight: All Verdes Cannabis Retail Locations
Collaborates With: Store Managers, HR Managers, Internal Auditor, CFO, CEO, President, Director of Marketing, Manufacturing Manager, and Admin. Assistant

Job Summary:
The General Manager of Dispensary Sales & Operations is responsible for driving sales and the overall performance of Verdes Cannabis retail locations. This includes achieving financial goals, creating a strong sales culture, managing retail managers, executing strategic initiatives, and enhancing the company's market position. The GM demonstrates ownership and pride in all aspects of dispensary sales & operations and makes strategic decisions to support the company's vertically integrated manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Sales Leadership and Culture:
- Drive sales through best-in-class sales strategies and techniques.
- Foster a strong sales culture that aligns with Verdes Standards.
- Stay informed of industry trends and incorporate innovative sales practices.
- Conduct daily huddles to align and motivate staff, ensuring adherence to Verdes Standards.
Performance Metrics and Reporting:
- Design, develop, and roll out daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs and reporting systems.
- Utilize data analysis and demand planning to drive strategic decisions and operational improvements.
Leadership and Staff Development:
- Develop dispensary managers into strong leaders with a sense of ownership and pride in their locations.
- Foster a culture of succession planning.
- Ensure staff engagement and passion for the company and its clients.
- Develop and implement plans for hiring, training, and ongoing development of team members.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs):
- Own the drafting, improvement, and execution of SOP development.
- Maintain, roll out, and ensure ongoing ownership of SOPs across all retail locations.
Brand Building and Marketing:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to build a strong, competitively insulated brand.
- Execute brand-building initiatives, including revamped merchandising strategy, curbside concierge, online ordering, and innovation launches.
Product and Inventory Management:
- Maximize financial performance through optimal ordering and inventory processes.
- Ensure product availability and strategically manage limited offerings.
- Play a leadership role in evaluating pricing and trade deal plans.
Financial Management:
- Achieve top and bottom-line financial goals.
- Identify opportunities to optimize financial performance, including evaluating product lineups and innovation plans.
- Implement growth plans, such as new hours, days, and locations.
ISO9001 Standard Adherence:
- Champion the adherence and adoption of ISO9001 standards for retail environments.
- Conduct regular audits and ensure compliance with ISO9001 requirements.
Analytical Skills:
- Strong analytical background with expertise in data analysis, demand planning, and retail operations.
- Develop and implement strategies based on data insights to improve store performance.
Other Duties:
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Computer/Technical Responsibilities:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of Dutchie preferred.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Minimum five years of retail-related management experience.
- Experience managing multiple locations (e.g., restaurants, retail stores, casinos).
- Experience opening new branches (e.g., restaurants, retail stores, casinos).
- Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
- Extensive knowledge of operations and production management.
- Ability to interpret financial data to set production goals.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Physical and Emotional Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods and transition from sitting to standing several times per day.
- Ability to bend, stoop, climb, and reach.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted.
- Ability to present complex information to groups.
- Physical presence at dispensary locations and administrative offices.
- Ability to tolerate a reasonable amount of work stress.
- Ability to handle high-stress situations, ambiguity, and changing priorities.

Compensation/Hours:
- Compensation DOE.
- 45+ hours per week, required Monday – Friday, with some weekend and on-call obligations, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
