We are seeking a passionate and certified Music and Movement Teacher to join our vibrant K–4 elementary school community. The ideal candidate will bring energy, creativity, and a deep commitment to inclusive, joyful instruction that inspires young learners through music and dance.
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State Music Education Certification required
- Experience teaching music and movement to elementary-aged students
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to engage diverse student populations
Responsibilities:
- Lead developmentally appropriate music and movement instruction for K–4 students
- Foster creativity, self-expression, and a love of music and dance
- Incorporate rhythm, singing, and creative movement in daily lessons
- Provide basic instrumental instruction using classroom sets of drums, ukuleles, and xylophones
- Support and lead school-wide performances and events
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary learning
Preferred Experience:
- Working in diverse, inclusive school communities
- Designing engaging, culturally responsive curricula
- Organizing student performances and community events

Pay: $49,000.00 - $64,000.00 per year
