About Our Family:
We’re the Nyman Family—a warm, supportive household with two working parents based out of our home offices. While our jobs are demanding, they also offer some flexibility. We’re seeking a reliable, nurturing nanny to care for our two children three days a week. Our home is calm, structured, and communicative, with plenty of support and clear expectations.
Schedule Details:
- Days: Monday, Thursday, and Friday
- Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Location: Quiet cul-de-sac in Godfrey, IL, with off-street parking available
About the Children:
- Our daughter turned 3 in November 2024. During the regular school year, she attends preschool every morning, and you’ll be caring for her in the afternoons once she returns home. She enjoys imaginative play, Play-Doh, storytelling, and being a loving big sister.
- Our son will turn 1 in June 2025. He’s a sweet and content baby who currently enjoys snuggles, exploration, and being part of a gentle daily rhythm. He will be your primary focus in the mornings while his sister is at preschool.
We also have three indoor-only cats. They are independent, use an automated litter box, and require no care. However, they may occasionally seek attention.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide consistent, developmentally appropriate care for both children
- Engage the children in age-appropriate play and learning activities
- Prepare and serve lunch and snacks according to dietary preferences
- Maintain a tidy and safe environment for play, rest, and routines
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times
- Communicate daily updates and any concerns clearly with the parents
Qualifications:
- Experience caring for infants and toddlers (nannying, daycare, babysitting, or teaching background welcomed)
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
- Comfortable with household pets
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preschool or early childhood education experience
- Familiarity with child-led play or positive discipline approaches
- Ability to prepare simple, healthy meals
If you’re someone who brings warmth, dependability, and a proactive mindset to childcare, we’d love to hear from you. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting young children’s growth in a consistent, respectful, and family-centered environment.
