Minimum of three to five years’ work experience in medical coding
Knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT coding guidelines
Desired Qualifications
Associate Degree in Health Information Technology
Responsibilities
Assigns and sequences correct diagnostic and operative codes to accurately reflect each patient episode of care. Communicates with customers and/or health care professionals to gather personal, demographic, financial, insurance and equipment information required to complete registration for outpatient, inpatient or equipment services, medical records, and insurance certification, verification, and billing/claim submission.
