Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of acute and chronic illnesses. As an FNP, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality healthcare services in various settings, including outpatient clinics and nursing homes.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results to guide treatment decisions.
- Provide primary care services, including triage and management of acute conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV insertion and other necessary procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families about health management, disease prevention, and wellness strategies.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Stay current with advancements in nursing practices and participate in continuing education.
Experience
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
- Experience in critical care settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with neonatal ventilator management is a plus.
- Previous experience working with children is highly desirable.
- Background in outpatient care or nursing home environments is beneficial.
- Proficiency in triage processes and the ability to dialyze patients when necessary.
- Strong clinical skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts
Beeper Call Requirement: 4 weekends per year, 3 nights per month
Patient Population: All ages
30 minutes per follow-up, 45 minutes per new patient
EMR: Meditech
Must be board-certified
