Your responsibilities in this role may include:
- Supervise, train and educate nursing staff assigned to team or region.
- Develop, implement, and monitor training needs and plans of the nursing staff and oversee medical documentation/electronic health record (EHR) use.
- Ensure that clients’ nursing assessments, medical care, and comprehensive physical examinations are completed within the timeframe dictated by level of care, licensing, and regulatory entities.
- Administer medications, as well as supervise the self-administered medications, where appropriate and allowed by regulation.
- Maintain adequate inventory of medical supplies and accurate records in compliance with governing regulations and agency policy and complete monthly medication administration records (MAR) audits and narcotic counts.
- Coordinate medication assisted treatment (MAT).
- Act as a liaison between program and prescribers and ensure that clients have appropriate medical coverage to guarantee safety, adequate care, and provider compliance for payment.
- Ensure proper storage of medical supplies as required by regulation, including narcotic medication according to DEA guidelines.
- Develop and implement health seminars for staff, including, but not limited to: HIVAIDS, nutrition, medication education, mental health, etc, and counsel clients on nutrition, health care, self-care, symptom management, etc.
- Participate and provide leadership in treatment/multidisciplinary team meetings and participate in medical CQI and prescriber peer review.
Working Conditions:
- Required to work weekends at least once a month including one off shift per week to ensure to ensure program coverage.

May be required to work shifts outside of assigned shifts during critical staffing shortages.

Qualifications
Qualifications for this role:
Education: Degree from an accredited college or university professional nursing program; must possess current RN license in good standing for the applicable state.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years nursing experience, with 2 years of experience treating individuals with substance use, mental health, or other related disorders.
Management: Minimum of 1 year experience supervising health care worker(s).
