Job Responsibilities:
The cardiology nurse practitioner (NP) plays a vital role in stress tests, encompassing patient assessment,
Test preparation, monitoring, and post-test care.
Assess patients' health histories and risk factors
Prepare patients for exercise or pharmacological stress tests
Monitor vital signs (EKG, blood pressure, heart rate) during the test
Respond to any complications or emergencies.
Interpret EKG results, identify arrhythmias, and communicate findings to the cardiologist.
