The Nursing Program Administrative Assistant performs the following functions:
- Support faculty and staff by coordinating administrative activities, such as scheduling meetings, taking minutes, preparing materials, and managing documentation. Assist with divisional communications, ensuring that nursing-specific updates, deadlines, and initiatives are effectively disseminated.
- Collaborate with the HHS Clinical Coordinator to align nursing clinical placement and compliance processes with the division’s standards and objectives. Provide support for reporting, audits, and accreditation activities, with a focus on nursing-specific contributions.
- Partner with the Department Chair and division leadership to plan for the nursing program’s projected program and enrollment growth. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as enrollment, retention, and clinical placement capacity to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with the HHS Clinical Coordinator to maintain compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements, ensuring nursing-specific needs are met. Prepare and organize nursing program documentation for divisional audits, site visits, and compliance reviews. Monitor updates from accrediting agencies, regulatory bodies, and government entities to ensure the nursing program remains compliant with all standards.
- Support student engagement initiatives, including orientations, program updates, and other events, in collaboration with HHS staff. Performs other duties as assigned for the Health and Human Services Division.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Associate degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Education, or a related field
At least one year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with compliance and accreditation requirements in nursing or allied health programs is strongly preferred.
